Where to Propose in Oahu Hawaii
The island of Oahu in Hawaii is a great place to propose. From its beautiful beaches to its warm weather, you can find a perfect location and proposal idea here. There are many beautiful places to get engaged at but since Hawaii is a hot tourist destination it can be easy to fall for a location that has tons of people around that will make your engagement less than ideal. 1. Sandy Beach
When people want to propose in Oahu Hawaii they tend to want to avoid places like Waikiki which can get very busy (and is now very restrictive with many events). A nice area that is known to locals is called Sandy Beach which is located on the south eastern side of the island. It's a gorgeous area with a pristine beach and beautiful views. It has easy parking and is not a tourist trap so it makes it a great proposal location.
2. Makapu’u Lookout
Located near Sandy Beach, Makapu'u Lookout is a stunning location with a great view. The waters are very turquoise in this area and you have amazing views of small islands off Oahu. The parking lot is small so be sure to plan accordingly..
3. Tantalus Lookout
This is an area that has striking views of Honolulu, Diamond head, and the ocean. It's not a well known spot but because of that, it's a great location to take your partner to catch the views and propose as the sun begins to set.
4. Diamond Head Beach Park
Not to be confused with Diamond Head State Monument, the Beach Park is a location that is gorgeous and does not have tons of hikers. To get to the lookout it does require a small hike down from the parking lot to the beach. It is easy to get to as long as you have sturdy sandals or shoes but it's a great and beautiful beach.
