Milan contacted The Heart Bandits because he wanted to give Catherine a meaningful and epic proposal. They really share a passion for traveling to cities that neither one of them has been to so they decided on Austin! Catherine had never been there before and had always wanted to go & it’s a city that Milan held very close to his heart due to his love of live music. And speaking of, the couple shared a love for the song “Anyone,” by Justin Bieber. Some other important details that we learned during our custom proposal planning interview is that Catherine loves the color purple and she loves peonies. Lastly, Milan let us know that planes have been a big part of their relationship and that he has a true love for planes. In fact, they have spent a few hours watching planes land and take off while on layovers or just out and about. Milan took Catherine to a private venue with a sprawling view of nature (one of his requirements). As soon as she walked out into the back, there was a guitarist singing the special Bieber song.
He walked her down an aisle that featured special phrases and photos of them together on their favorite trips. There were also clusters of pink florals on the ground creating a pathway. Milan walked her to each photo where they reminisced on the memory.
After reminiscing on each memory and looking at all of the photos, Milan walked Catherine towards the pink and purple floral finale complete with hanging paper airplanes, a nod to their love of planes. He dropped to his knee and proposed.
She said “Yes!” After the proposal, they popped open a bottle of Champagne. They spent time taking beautiful proposal photos around the property. Then they sat by the fire to cuddle and enjoy more bubbly.
