A Flash Mob proposal is a trend that is here to stay.  But creating a Flash Mob is more complex than you might think.  In this blog, I am going to go over Everything You Need To Know About Planning A Flash Mob Proposal.

What Is A Flash Mob Proposal?

A flash mob proposal is when a group of dancers suddenly appear in a public setting and perform a group dance routine.  A flash mob takes a lot of preparation both in creating the dance and for the performance itself.  To create the dance routine, you typically will have a choreographer to create the dance routine. They will then teach the dancers the routine. If you want to be a part of the flash mob, they will also create choreography for you.  If this sounds like a proposal you would like, here are 5 steps to follow when planning your flash mob proposal:

Step 1: Evaluate Your Partner

It is very important to determine if your partner would like a flash mob proposal.  This kind of proposal brings on a LOT of attention and if your partner is an introvert or just doesn’t like a lot of attention, this would not be a good proposal for them.

Step 2: Choose the Song

With choosing the song, you have a few options.  You can choose a song that is meaningful to your relationship.  This is our recommendation as it will add that special touch to your proposal.  If you don’t have a song, you can choose a popular love song.  You can also choose an upbeat, fun song if you want to go that route.

Step 3: Choose Location Wisely

A lot of places won’t allow flash mobs, while others require permits and insurance.  An experienced Proposal Planner is invaluable in this situation as they know the right questions to ask to make sure you aren’t embarrassed during your routine by getting the boot.

Step 4: Hire a Proposal Planner

That leads me to this tip, hire a Proposal Planner.  A Flash Mob has several moving parts (audio, choreography, dancers, etc.) and you need someone extremely organized to stay on top of all of the details.  Since you are proposing, you have enough on your plate and don’t want to have to worry about anything on your special day. Step 5: Document

As we recommend for all proposals, you are going to want to document your proposal.  Video is more important than photos for this type of event.  Consider getting 2 cameramen so that you can have one focusing on the dancers and one on you and your partner.
