Brooks told Natalie they were going to a movie so she was confused when she walked into the Wortham Center. They were escorted into the Cullen Theater which of course, was empty. Brooks mentioned that it looked like a show was about to happen and Natalie laughed and commented that there was no one there! She took a seat next to Brooks in the front row and the curtains raised. She got the surprise of her life.
A pianist played and sang “Someone Like You” by Van Morrison. Brooks asked her to slow dance. After the song, he proposed! Natalie was in complete shock and happily said yes! The musician then switched to guitar and serenaded the couple with another song. Brooks and Natalie departed only to find a limo waiting for them outside. The limo rushed the couple to a helipad where the two boarded a helicopter and flew over the very stadium that Brooks plays in. What a fabulous marriage proposal!
What made me love this proposal the most is how very down to earth and kind both Brooks and Natalie were. It doesn’t hurt that they are both gorgeous! Natalie even called me personally to thank me for planning her proposal. Though I had to give Brooks the credit, after all, it was his idea!
