Rooftop NYC Proposal

Richard + Ashley

Richard came to us because he wanted to create a beautiful marriage proposal that would make Ashley feel special.  He wanted to make sure that she could truly feel how much he loved her on such a very special day.

Richard came to us because he wanted to create a beautiful marriage proposal that would make Ashley feel special.  He wanted to make sure that she could truly feel how much he loved her on such a very special day.

Now Richard is a guy who knows what he wants.  He knew he wanted a Penthouse overlooking the city.  He really loved the boxwood hedge with the Marry Me message.  He just needed help putting it all together.

Like many successful men, he had the idea but just didn't have the time or the resources to pull it off in time, and that is where we step in.

We make sure that every detail is taken care of and that all our client's have to do is walk in, look like a hero, and propose.
And that is exactly what Richard did.
Ashley said YES and the two are officially engaged!  Congratulations Richard + Ashley!!

The Doors to Your Heart

Craig & Samira

Craig and Samira lived next door to each other. They used to pass notes under the door to communicate when they were just getting to know each other. The Heart Bandits created a proposal concept that incorporated doors and notes that were such a big part of bringing them together.

Craig contacted The Heart Bandits when he was trying to find the perfect marriage proposal plan for his girlfriend Samira. He wanted everything to be perfect for his romantic Key West proposal, but he was overseas at the time and he knew he wouldn’t have the time or the capability to plan it to perfection from afar. As we do with all of our clients, we interviewed him so that we could get to know details about him and his girlfriend. During that interview, we were immediately drawn to how the couple first met.

THE STORY
Samira grew up in Miami but decided to move to Baltimore to get her Doctorate. Baltimore is Craig’s hometown and while looking for an apartment, he happened to consider moving into Samira’s building. When he went to tour the building and apartment unit, she was on the same elevator as he and the leasing agent. Ultimately, Craig ended up moving in to the apartment and coincidentally, he moved in right next door to Samira! One day, she slipped a note under his door inviting him to a dinner party that she was having. Unfortunately, he could not make it so he slipped a note under her door letting her know. The note passing continued on, back and forth for a while. In one of those notes, they finally exchanged phone numbers and eventually met out one night with friends and as friends. And from there as they say, it was history!

THE PROPOSAL IDEA
We just knew we had to create a unique marriage proposal idea that incorporated the note passing that brought them together. We presented Craig the option of having 2 doors set up on the beach. The doors would be labeled with their apartment numbers (365 on the left and 364 on the right). There would be a note hanging on the door to pay homage to their beginning form of communication. Once they walked through the doors, there would be a proposal set up at the end of the pier where Craig would ask Samira to be his wife. Craig loved the proposal idea!

THE PROPOSAL
On the day of the proposal, Samira was lead to the doors. She wasn’t quite sure what was going on. Was it just a coincidence that these doors had their old apartment numbers on them? It had to be, they were so far from Baltimore! But then Craig drew her attention to the note hanging from the door.

Samira was smitten and followed Craig’s lead through the doors. They walked down the pier hand in hand. At the end of the pier, Craig dropped to his knee amongst roses, petals and lanterns, and proposed to the love of his life. Samira said yes and then got on her cute little tippy toes to give him a hug!

Check out the stunning photos below and pay attention to all of the thoughtful details; blush tone heads of roses and rose petals in case it got too windy, oversized gold lanterns to look grand with the ocean as the backdrop, a table for two so they could sit down to enjoy Champagne after the proposal….it was truly magical.

After the proposal, the couple shared a Champagne toast to start their new life together. We are so honored to have been a part of Craig and Samira’s special day.

The Jet Setter

Christian & Fernanda

Pictures don’t even do this proposal justice. This proposal included a 7 foot Eiffel Tower made of lights and flowers, a gondola with roses spilling over, vintage Louis Vuitton luggage, custom monogram in the pool, and thousands and thousands of flowers, and more. This was the ultimate proposal for our jet setting couple.

Christian and Fernanda love to travel! Their first date and kiss was in the beautiful city of Cancun, and since then, they’ve traveled to Madrid, Paris, Italy, all across Europe, and more. To surprise Fernanda and make his epic marriage proposal one-of-a-kind, Christian wanted to include some of their favorite destinations from around the world.

With the help of The Heart Bandits, Christian rented out a gorgeous rooftop in Manhattan. On the day of his proposal, Christian guided Fernanda out of the elevator and to her surprise, a live orchestra was playing a beautiful rendition of “All of Me” to set the mood. When she looked around the room, she was awestruck as she noticed the seven-foot Eiffel Tower made out of twinkling lights and gorgeous flowers–it was the perfect representation of their trip to Paris.

As they made their way to the rooftop garden, they passed a beautiful faux Parisian grass wall adorned with romantic photos of the two of them during their travels. Hand in hand, Christian and Fernanda walked through colorful ruby-colored rose petals until they reached a gondola that was spilling over with luxurious roses to represent their trip to Italy.

To “wow” her even more, Christian guided Fernanda to a stack of vintage Louis Vuitton suitcases where she gracefully unwrapped a Mexican tote by Christian Louboutin. In the background, a string quartet played romantic music as Christian wrapped his arms around Fernanda and enjoyed the warmth of the candles lining the magical greenery of the garden.

When the moment was right, Christian directed her to the pool where she noticed a plexiglass message spelling “Will you travel the world with me forever?” As he dropped to his knee to propose, Fernanda was overcome with emotion as she said “YES!”

After the proposal, the staff served them an intimate dinner for two as Fernanda and Christian reflected on their past–and future–travels!

A Fairytale in Boston

Jeff & Genevieve

Jeff wanted to create the perfect proposal for his love Genevieve and he stopped at nothing to make sure that happened. He hired us to plan the perfect proposal for her which included a gorgeous venue, thousands of flowers and petals, candles, and signs that expressed his love for her. She said YES and we are so excited for their future!

Jeff and Genevieve’s love story began a long time ago. After going to the same high school but going their separate ways for college, they didn’t see each other again until 8 years later. The magic happened when Genevieve found herself in Boston, the same city as Jeff, and they realized they had a mutual love of travel, adventure, and exploring different cultures.

This adventurous couple has a lot of history! Some of their favorite memories include walking on Memorial Drive surrounded by the romantic Boston skyline, taking road trips together, stargazing at a national park, and buying a home and working together to renovate it.

Throughout their adventures, they’re always a team and understand each other better than anyone. Jeff admires Genevieve’s big heart, which is why he was looking for a romantic proposal idea that told a story and represented all the love, trust, and memories they’ve built throughout their relationship.

Jeff reached out to The Heart Bandits during the planning process, and we helped him create a magical moment centered around the beautiful city of Boston where they hold so many memories. After strolling through a park, Jeff guided Genevieve to a private outdoor area.

With the help of The Heart Bandits, the gazebo was filled with clusters of candles, dreamy arrangements of pink and purple roses, delicate flower petals resting gently on the stairs, and framed photos of the two of them. As Genevieve walked slowly up the stairs and was surprised by the romantic decor, her eyes lit up as they made their way to personalized, rustic signs with sweet messages from Jeff.

As they walked through the gazebo flowing with natural light, Jeff guided her to the final sign that read, “Together is a beautiful place to be, will you marry me?” He got down on one knee and Genevieve excitedly said “yes!” without hesitation. Full of class, smiles, and a genuine love and respect for one another, this outdoor proposal was a beautiful start to their lives as husband and wife.
